Workington Bus | Saturday 7 December

Spartans kick off their busy Christmas period with a trip to the Monaco of the North West, as they visit Workington in early December.

If you’ve never been to Workington before, you’re in for a real treat.

Thankfully the Wetherspoons it’s canny enough and the local Working Men’s club have traditionally given us a somewhat warm reception, so we’re in for a fun day out!

The drive to Workington should just take about 2 and a half hours so we’ll be leaving from The Wallaw at 9:30am with a pick up at High Pit for 9:40am, and Seaton Delaval for 9:45am. The A69 can be a nightmare when the weather is bad, so this one may end up being closer to 3 hours if the rain is hitting.

We’ll be getting dropped off at The Henry Bessemer (Spoons) for roughly 12:30pm, and picked up again roughly at 2:30pm to head to the ground. Obviously you’re free to wonder down to the ground a bit earlier if you wish, as it’s only about a 10 minute walk away.

The local Working Men’s club is also less than a 5 minute walk away if you fancy going down for a game of killer pool.

As ever it’s straight home after the game. Expecting to get back for around 8pm, depending traffic and the weather.
