Blyth Spartans and Tyne Met’s relationship began back in 2019, when the academy set up was set up, and it has gone from strength to strength over the last 5 years.
The two academy sides compete in the National League Youth Alliance, with the U18’s competing in NLFA Division G, and the U19’s compete in the NLFA North Division. The U18 side also represents Blyth Spartans in the FA Youth Cup.
Long-time youth coach and experienced Northern League manager Marc Nash currently leads the the U19’s, while former Premier League player and former Spartans player, assistant manager and manager Graham Fenton leads the U18 team.
Please see the below links from the FA’s website for information on fixtures and league tables. Note though that the fixture location for games is not always accurate, as games that often state they are taking place at Croft Park often take place at Wensleydale Park (NE24 3EZ).
