Yesterday afternoon, I was invited to join a meeting with a group of local individuals who are currently in the process of putting together a deal to purchase the football club.
The meeting was a very positive one and having gotten to know them all a bit and heard what their plans are for the short and long term future of the club, I can confidently say that the individuals involved in putting this deal together are all genuine people, who have the club’s best interest at heart.
They’ve all put in a huge amount of work in over the last few weeks to get an offer on the table, and map out a plan to take the club forward. Based of that alone, the group in question have our full trust and backing.
Obviously I can’t go into too much detail at present as talks are still ongoing and a deal has not been completed yet. However I can say that going forward, supporters are expected to play a huge part in the running of the football club.
We’ll endeavour to keep you all updated as best we can over the coming week or so.
